It was really confusing at first.
I really thought it was a bug when I saw that my battery was still at 80% after more than 4 hours of work.
I've had the machine for a week, and I have NEVER heard the fan running. The machine is always cold after doing CPU intensive tasks.
I use Xcode on a daily basis, and yes it has improved.
