Medium, to be purchased according to your needs
I bought two BR-200 to replace the two D-link DFL-800 which are becoming obsolete and are getting more and more out of order.
I use the :
- Firewall.
- VPN IPsec site to site.
- DHCP server (50 machines).
What made me choose this one:
-The price
- OpenVPN for nomads (not great).
- Seems simple to configure (that's true, very simple except IPsec in my case).
The positive points :
-Affordable price
- Easy to configure.
- The Netgear hotline is quite responsive, however, depending on the problem, it can take time to solve it with multiple attempts, I was in contact for 1 month.
- The product is recent and will probably be updated.
Negative points :
- Very few logs.
- OpenVPN, only one certificate and not modifiable.
- IPsec complicated to set up in my situation, as I have ADSL on both sides and had to switch to bridge mode on the routers to make it work so I lose functionality, unlike the DFL router where I just had to open ports 500 and 4500, and I had to buy an Adsl router as the Livebox does not allow bridge function.
