Well, it does its job well but in 4K it gets quite hot and a bit shiny.
For the rest nothing to say more than the other comments.
Gainward's version of this 3070 is excellent. The triple fan keeps the card cool and noise pollution is contained (no coil whine).
For the greedy, you will be able to gain a few % more performance because the card can be overclocked easily and the margin is real (12xxx vs 14xxx pts on FireStrike).
Finally, the only drawbacks are its price and availability. It's hard to believe that two years after its release, you still have to spend >600€ for this mid-range card, and frequently browse the stocks to hope to get your hands on it. Which costs it a star!
I am surprised by this card, considering its price I was afraid of a cheap cooling system but it is not.
The card is very quiet even with a big game, but you can feel the heat around the PC increasing!
I was surprised by the length of the card. I had to modify the layout of my PC to be able to put it in (an old ANTEC P182 tower).
Personally, I recommend this card. Not too expensive, quiet and powerful!
Very good graphics card. I went from a GTX 970 to this monster ... I'm rediscovering the video games I used to play.
LDCL level, perfect order/time/packaging .... Absolutely nothing to say
The product was delivered quickly and was as expected.
I recommend the ldlc website!
Nothing to complain about, silence + power the perfect combo for a happy gamer.
Too bad for the current availability and price
I upgraded from a radeon rx590xt to this graphics card, I'm very happy with it.
I make YouTube videos and games: Star citizen, cyberpunk 2077, the division 2, shadowlands etc...
I'm very happy with this card, performance is much better than my 2080 super, it doesn't heat up much, nice design and quite quiet, the price is quite interesting considering the performance.
I took this card to replace a 5700XT evoke OC from MSI.
In terms of performance, coupled with a ryzen 5 3600 set at 4.2ghz for 1.3725, I get a graphic score for 3d mark:
9329 for the 5700
13752 for the 3070, with an automatic OC via the software
It doesn't heat up much ( max 62° recorded after 4h of warzone, fans are set to max at 1430rpm, curve adjusted manually)
The RGB is nice, although very discreet. Some effects can be adjusted via the software, which is not very nice, we must admit.
The box is nice, it contains the card, a manual, and a cable/adapter to replace the basic 2*8 pin.
Simple installation after having made a DDU, update the drivers and everything works!
FPS measured on warzone, high settings everywhere in 1440p : 130fps average
Good game!
I'm happy with the card, it does the job right, good cooling which allows it to be quiet (they almost never activate even after several hours of play).
The LEDs are nice but being underneath the card you can't see them very much but it adds a bit of colour.
The Gainward software allows to manage the RGB/overclocking of the card but I didn't test it.
So no worries from my side, you can go ahead!
