Synology's E10M20-T1 expansion card is a PCIe 3.0 x8 bus adapter that features 2 NVMe M.2 SSD slots and a 10 GbE copper LAN connector. The E10M20-T1 will allow you to use NVMe SSDs to accelerate I/O performance without taking up NAS bays. You improve the performance and responsiveness of latency-sensitive applications while maintaining the storage capacity allowed by the available bays on the NAS.

Works perfectly and allows you to add cache via 2 m2 SSDs and switch to a 10G connection.
I've been using it with a Plex server and it gives my NAS a new lease of life. I'm very pleased with this product.
Card purchased to be integrated in a DS3617xs (attention DSM7 required for this card to be recognized in this NAS).
I liked the simplicity of implementation. The card is very easy to use, whether it's adding the nmve SSDs to the card (good point: thermal pads to put on the card are provided for the SSDs) or integrating the card into the NAS.
The addition of NVME cache + 10GbE changes "the notion of time" in transfers of large files or folders.
The cost of the Synology accessories is still a bit too high (especially when you're looking for a NAS with more than 2,5Keur).
