Very nice product, powerful but BIOS to be updated to install Ubuntu
I am very happy with this computer. Venus PW55. It has a simple, no-frills design but that makes it "efficient". It's very compact and light, which is what I expected and it's really nice! The screen is very good, the touchpad too. I regret a bit the small arrow keys and there is no dedicated button for the "Start" and "End" keys; they are shared with the "Previous Page" and "Next" keys using the "Function" key (so I have to use both hands to press a button I use quite frequently).
I'm using it with Ubuntu 20.04 and apart from using an external microphone via a combo-jack which is not yet possible, all the rest of the hardware works fine. Ah, there's also the sleep mode that drains the battery within a day, but that may be more of a compatibility issue than due to the computer itself.
I did regret having to update the BIOS to install Ubuntu, which didn't recognise the drive. I had to follow the procedure (like others) to change "SATA Mode" to "AHCI" instead of "Intel RST". The method using FreeDOS did not work and I had to install Windows to get the LDLC software to allow this update. This was a bit of a shame as I had to wait a few days for the right solution and spent a few hours on the internet looking for the cause and doing some testing. This added a bit of "friction" just after I bought the PC. However, this allowed me to discover the LDLC after-sales service for which I am very satisfied (polite, reactive, gave the right answer when I brought the right information) and which is therefore really very professional.
I'm not sure I'd give it a 10/10, but I'd say it's more like an 8/10.
