not very responsive under windose. BIOS to be updated for Linux
Under windows (11) fast start up, but lacks responsiveness in use.
I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get the BIOS update, but I'll have to insist on it, as the procedure and version don't seem to be known by everyone involved.
Otherwise, good autonomy and screen, average keyboard.

Not made for Linux, slow on Windows
I asked for a BIOS update when I ordered, and was assured that it was not necessary to install Linux.
On receipt, I was blocked by the Ubuntu or Mint installers which ask to disable Inter Rapide Storage, but this option is impossible in the BIOS
The BIOS update finally provided by the after sales service didn't help.
So, having only been able to install Windows, the machine is not very responsive, hardly better than my old asus netbook of more than 5 years, paid much less at the time.
The only positive point is the screen, really good for TN.

Do the job!
I bought this machine for my son who has "dys", for his schooling at college and later at high school.
I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good idea to keep it running for a couple of days and then use it for discord/youtube at home.
What interested me was the possibility of upgrading the RAM and storage but especially the resistance certification.
For a teenager, in college, I think it's better if it's a bit solid.

Excellent ultrabook
Light, robust with its aluminium chassis, good autonomy (more than 13 hours in silent mode which allows a perfectly fluid web/video use), and rather powerful for this type of machine with the 100% hardware decoding of the 10 bits HEVC and the WiFi AX, which makes it an excellent machine for edge computing and even for playing on the move via a streaming service. The screen is of excellent quality, matte, and opens 180. The keyboard is bright white with 5 levels of illumination and is easy to use, except for the arrows (too small). The sound is bad, which is to be expected on this type of machine. The IEC C7 power cable supplied with the charger is far too short (1m). The laptop seems to be compatible with Power Delivery, so you can get a 65W USB C charger which will also have the merit of being more compact - The HDMI port is limited to 30Hz in 4K. The HDMI port is limited to 30Hz in 4K, but it is possible to display 60Hz in 4K via the USB C (display port), but the port must be blocked for this purpose - The drivers are supplied on CD. Hello, McFly! We are in 2021, on an ultrabook! The default BIOS is quite limited in terms of settings: SATA controller mode blocked (can be problematic for Linux), no way to change the boot screen (very ugly by the way)...In short, I'm nitpicking. It's an excellent machine, a very good price. The case (included) is functional and aesthetic, with an external USB port to charge a device.

Very good
Good screen, pleasant keyboard, very neat finish and light weight (1100 grams on the kitchen scale).
2 reservations that do not deserve the loss of a star:
Comes with the 1.07.03 bios which is locked to the SATA/Intel RST option,
Not sure about the usefulness of a micro-SD socket.

Workshop handling required to install Linux
This computer can host Linux, but this requires a special BIOS update, known to LDLC's technical department. Indeed, the delivered version (1.07.03) does not allow to recognize the delivered disk (NVMe) under Linux, because this BIOS does not allow to switch from Intel RST mode to AHCI mode (requested by Ubuntu 20.04 at installation time). The problem is not solved with the latest official BIOS (1.07.08 at this date, which does not contain the desired option), but with a customized BIOS version 1.07.07. Also requires updating the microcontroller...
LDLC did this on request, and the computer has been running Ubuntu LTS 20.04 with no problems since. Thanks to the technicians for their tenacity!
