Good mouse, but not worth 160 euros
It's all in the title.
I chose this model based on the hand sizes listed on the Evoluent website, and my hand just fits (18cm from the tip of the middle finger to the wrist).
The mouse is precise, without being exceptional.
Strengths :
- Very vertical mouse (if you have pain in your wrist or hand, it will be perfect for you).
- Buttons can be programmed with the small software that can be found on the Evoluent website.
- The USB dongle is very easy to use for the wireless version. Just plug it in and you're good to go.
Weaknesses:
- For the wireless version, the battery provided lasted 15 days. I would have preferred the wired version, but it was out of stock.
- Bulky mouse (about 1.5 times bigger than a "classic" mouse), and therefore not practical to carry. Knowing that I use it at work and at home, I'll use its original box to carry it around (well, I'm not crazy either, but at that price, a carrying case would have been nice).
- The full glossy coating of the mouse is very quickly marked with fingerprints. And it slips ... If you try to lift it with one hand, you may click unintentionally when squeezing it.
- There is a pressure area in the fold of the thumb against the edge of the mouse, and this is not comfortable over time ... I expected more from a product and a company that boasts years of experience in this field.
In conclusion, this mouse is definitely not worth 160 euros.
I intend to use it as much as possible, but before I buy another Evoluent product, I will first look for another cheaper brand.
