Kit used for a mounting station with G.Skill Ripjaws V 32go 3600mhz ram. Everything works perfectly. Provide a very good quality cooling. Prefer an AIO for the 3950x, especially if you plan to use the core boost which periodically causes targeted voltage spikes on a core.
I personally kept the core boost and did not overclock the 3950x, as the performance gain is only significant in heavy multithreaded use.
With a 240mm watercooling it is very easy to push all the cores to 4.8Ghz keeping the temperature below 70° or to set it to auto for absolute silence at 37°!
I can run star citizen in 4k and ultra details without consuming more than 20% of the load

The number of PCI 4.0 lines is doubled in 3.0 which allows to put all the daughter cards you can imagine on it.
LDLC delivered the cpu with bent pins (it's rare but it happens especially for OEM versions without a box), all you need is a cutter to straighten them out and it started up right away without flinching.
With a better packaging (for the OEM), it would deserve the maximum note without hesitation
AMD signs a jewel that wins the battle on this generation of CPU. You won't regret the wait if supply is difficult.
Happy owner of this jewel of technology, the 3D rendering is simply night and day compared to my old processor! The combo with this card is simply a superb offer, thanks to LDCL for their speed in processing my order. I can only recommend you to upgrade to this processor if you do video, 3D.
