Good product but software ruins it
I bought this mouse as a replacement for my G700s which was beginning to give up the ghost, and I chose this model because it was the closest thing to my previous mouse.
After a good two weeks of use I was able to form an opinion on the thing, there are some very good points, but also some not so good:
Good points :
-The shape of the mouse is nice, I don't have very big hands so it fits well (it is slightly smaller than the G700s)
-The buttons on the left side of the mouse fit better under the thumb than I thought.
-The detachable scroll wheel: this is the only thing that keeps me with Logitech, it's an incredible time saver.
-The battery life is just enormous compared to my previous mouse. For the record, I've been using this mouse for a fortnight now with the supplied battery, and it's still not empty (lightspeed mode) (My previous mouse lasted less than two days)
Negative points :
The G HUB software, like all Logitech products, the user experience is completely ruined by the software, which is non-intuitive, hard to understand, and has some pretty annoying bugs (I had to reinstall it and reconfigure my mouse to get it to work normally) And no easy way to export / import profiles.
-The patent on the scroll wheel, which forces us to stay with Logitech
-The scroll wheel makes too much noise and vibration when not in free mode, which causes finger pain after a while.
-The scroll wheel is too smooth, so the finger tends to slide over it.
-The lack of a lip around the click buttons: when I press one of the 6 programmable buttons on the left side, I often click right by mistake. I think you get used to it.
-The battery cover is a bit difficult to remove
