iRig Pre HD is an MFi ("Made for iPhone and iPad") certified interface, designed and manufactured entirely in Italy, designed to work best with any iOS device equipped with a Lightning port (the cable is included in the box). The USB cable, also included, allows you to connect the interface to a Mac or PC. In the box you'll even find 2 AA batteries and a velcro strap for attaching to a microphone stand or other support. TheiRig Pre HD allows you to record at up to 96kHz/24-bit and with a frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz (+/- 1.5dB), bridging the gap between the world of portable devices and that of professional studio XLR microphones, for recording instruments and audio content for multimedia platforms, including radio, interviews, documentaries, films, etc.

iRig Pre HD features a Class A preamp, multi-color LED indicator, +48V phantom power (with 2 AA batteries included) and allows you to record with maximum quality with your dynamic XLR, ribbon or condenser microphones. Its internal analog-to-digital converter can operate at up to 96 kHz sample rate and 24-bit resolution.

It's ideal for professional recordings for TV, music, film and radio, because it's extremely light and convenient to carry. It allows you to make the best use of microphone models that usually require high gain, such as ribbon models. iRig Pre HD features a Class A preamp, ensuring rich, dynamic, authentic, transparent and detailed recordings. The multi-color LED indicator visually guides you through the gain control and signals you if phantom power is being used.
Built-in headphone output with control
iRig Pre HD features a 1/8" headphone output with built-in level control, which is useful in many professional settings. It can render perfect listening (even on the latest iPhones) of high resolution music, exploiting all the quality of its converters and it can even be used to send the signal to external auxiliary devices like a mixer.
Software and app included!
iRig Pre HD includes Mic Room for Mac/PC and iOS,IK Multimedia's creative app that lets you exploit the sound and character of the most sought-after studio microphones of all time. Mic Room is compatible with Audiobus and Inter-App Audio so it can be used with other apps to create freely. iOS users can have fun with Mic Pack for VocaLive, which adds a wonderful collection of virtual mics to the app. They will also be able to use Pro Bundle for iRig Recorder, which expands its functionality with new EQ and compression processing capabilities.
