I'm very pleased with the quality of the product and the price!
the use of wifi from all devices (computer, tablets and laptops) is just great!
The product is perfect, the ergonomics are good, the installation is easy (Mac), the printing is fast and of good quality. The kind of product we would like to see more often.
It was always clear to me that if I ever bought a printer, it would be a laser. And having opted (happily) for "all Linux" at home for several years, the support of my operating system by the manufacturer of my next printer was essential. In this respect, it seems obvious that HP is making great efforts (via its HPLIP programme) and my choice fell on this model.
According to the documentation, the LaserJet Pro M118dw printer requires at least HPLIP v3.18, but my Kubuntu 18.04 distribution was equipped by default with version 3.17, so I uninstalled the latter, downloaded and manually installed the latest version (3.19). All is well, except that it is obviously not advisable to change the default printer name (otherwise Cups sees 2 printers - the default name and the one chosen personally - both working correctly).
Printing is surprisingly fast, and (unsurprisingly) of good quality, with perhaps a slight downside for the graphics (photos). It also seemed to me that some of the prints were not perfectly aligned horizontally (as if the drive of the A4 sheet caused it to rotate slightly). Nothing too critical as far as I'm concerned, the essentials are assured (fast printing and GNU/Linux support).
I also tested WiFi printing, from a Linux Mint 19 laptop. It works without any problem (although Mint is also equipped with HPLIP 3.17).
