Everything is automatic as soon as you plug in and start the console.
I highly recommend it because the lack of space on the hard drives of the consoles makes it necessary to buy one.
Only buy it when your console's hard drive is shielded!!!!

Disk: It installs automatically when the console restarts
Transfer: The games are automatically downloaded to the disk, you can only choose to install the games on the internal or external disk. However, you can't transfer a game from the console's hard drive to the external drive, you'll have to delete it, choose the "transfer to extended (external) drive" option and then download it again. This is the only downside, but it's not related to the external drive but rather to the console in general.

It's very powerful, the only problem is that once installed it transfers everything to the hard drive. I recommend it for gamers who have a lot of games like me
