2x fasterAccelerate data processing and double the memory bandwidth to 17GB/s. Crucial DDR4 memory boasts transfer speeds starting at 2133 MT/s (compared to 1066 MT/s for DDR3 at launch), and this is set to increase further as the technology matures.
Crucial DDR4 memory also takes advantage ofDDR4's unique 4-channel memory architecture to accelerate burst accesses and improve sequential data throughput. |
2x the capacityMaximise your system performance by doubling your memory capacity. As DDR4 technology advances, you'll be able to double the memory capacity of your server and get more out of each module, as well as your entire network.
Based on technology that allows more gigabits per component, Crucial DDR4 memory uses high-density chips to deliver up to twice the density of DDR4 modules. |
Up to 40% more energy efficientReduce your power costs and cooling energy. Crucial DDR4 memory operates at 20% lower voltage than DDR3, at 1.2V, compared to the 1.5V of standard DDR3 server memory. Combined with power-saving features built into the DDR4 memory architecture, Crucial DDR4 memory can consume up to 40 percent less power than standard DDR3 technology . Plus, each module generates less heat, making it easier to cool systems. |
Enhance cloud, HPC, big data processing and more For memory-intensive server applications such as virtualisation, cloud computing, big data processing and high-performance computing, Crucial DDR4 server memory is an ideal way to increase memory bandwidth while reducing power costs.
Because memory often operates as a fixed (non-shared) component, it is one of the biggest drags on data centre performance. Maximise DDR4 memory capacity and achieve higher performance/efficiency. Optimized for the new Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 series processors, Crucial DDR4 memory makes it easy to support a wide range of enterprise workloads. |

Satisfied with the delivery time and the advice.
After a call to the service department, the ram was replaced quickly, I had made a mistake with the model.
Despite the absence of any mention of compatibility on the Asustore site, this strip is compatible with the excellent ASUSTOR Nimbustor 2 Gen 2 AS5402T. This enabled me to go from the original 4GB (which is a lot for a NAS) to 8GB. So running VMs or Containers on Dockers will be a breeze. What's more, my NAS will also be able to host a PLEX service with 4K transcoding.
Product conforms to the order, prompt delivery and packaging providing excellent protection for the item.
Messages informing of progress. Everything is going well! Keep up the good work, it's the hardest part. Don't forget that sometimes better is the enemy of good! Consistency is more important.
It depends on what you want to do with it...
For a PC installation, I wouldn't necessarily have chosen this one in 2023.
But it's very useful for you to know that this strip is ideal for installation in a Synology DS 720+ NAS.
Indeed, it is perfectly compatible, detected and taken into account by the system.
Most importantly, it's much cheaper than Synology's, which sells you the same thing at an inflated price.
That's good to know. Moreover, it is a reputable brand.
For the record, I don't think it's a bad idea to have chosen to increase the RAM from 2 to 6 GB. There's plenty of room and the whole thing is smooth for a long time.
I ordered a Synology DS220+ with two 6TB WD Red Plus. Seeing that by default the NAS has only 2GB of RAM, I wanted to find additional memory. But the one from the manufacturer is too expensive. I did some research and found this RAM model. On some sites (English and French), users say that it works and others say that it does not...
When I received the NAS, I installed this RAM... Result: the Synology DS220+ was still showing 2GB of system RAM... I removed and replaced this RAM several times. Nothing!
The trick to getting it to work is to press and hold it down hard when installing it. The "Click" you hear is not enough! And since then, it works like a charm!
