The famous NF-P12 model, specially designed for high-pressure applications such as CPU or radiator cooling, has long been a benchmark for enthusiasts around the world and has helped Noctua establish its reputation as one of the market leaders in high-end components for quiet cooling.Noctua has built its reputation as a market leader in high-end components for quiet cooling. The all-new redux series brings this famous model back to life with a well thought-out, moderately priced offer that focuses on the essentials: the top-of-the-range NF-P12 fan.
The NF-P12 redux is equipped with an industrial-grade bearing - SSO Bearing - and boasts an MTTF of 150.Backed by a 6-year manufacturer's warranty, this premium model offers Noctua quality at an attractive price. The very high speed achieved by the 1300 rpm. PWM version gives this model a "performance" orientation. It is ideal for ensuring efficient cooling of cases, radiators and other CPU fans, but is also perfect for applications requiring both a high performance margin and PWM control for automatic speed regulation.
The NF-P12: a proven fan
Tens of thousands of silent cooling enthusiasts around the world swear by Noctua's famous NF-P12. Thanks to its exceptional silence, high performance and flawless quality, the NF-S12B P12 has become THE benchmark for silent 120mm fans.
The redux series: just the essentials...
All the products in the redux series offer excellent longevity and meet industry standards in terms of quality. All have enabled Noctua to establish its reputation as one of the market leaders in top-of-the-range components for silent cooling.
.
Smooth Commutation Drive 2
The latest version of Noctua's Smooth Commutation Drive system ensures smooth operation by eliminating torque variations and switching noise. This makes the fan very discreet, even at close range.
Nine-blade design for increased pressure
Specially designed for environments requiring high pressure (CPU fans, water-cooled radiators or cases with narrow ventilation grilles), the NF-P14's nine blades deliver outstanding pressure and impressive flow.
Vortex-Control Notches
The Vortex-Control Notches, which are exclusive to Noctua, disperse the vortexes developing at the tip of the blade, thereby distributing sound emissions over a wider range of frequencies. The result is a sound that is more pleasing to the human ear.
Colour customisation with NA-SAVP1 silentblocks
The fan frame can be fitted with NA-SAVP1 anti-vibration silencers from the Noctua chromax range. Available in black, red, blue, white, green and yellow, these silent-blocks not only dampen micro-vibrations, but also offer an undeniable additional advantage: they allow you to match the fan to the most popular colour themes, to suit your creativity!
Exclusive PWM circuit with SCD
The fan uses the exclusive new NE-FD1 PWM IC circuit, which incorporates SCD (Smooth Commutation Drive) technology, for full automatic PWM speed control. By favouring less abrupt torque pulses, SCD eliminates PWM switching noise, keeping the fan quieter at low speeds.
SSO-Bearing
By combining a hydrodynamic bearing with a complementary magnet, SSO-Bearing technology considerably enhances the fan's performance, while ensuring exceptional silence and reliability over the long term.
Optional accessories
Anti-vibration seals, 3/4-pin adapters, Y-cables, this range of Noctua fans comes with numerous accessories to meet the demands of your configuration.
6-year manufacturer's warranty
Noctua fans are renowned for their reliability. The models in the Redux series operate for up to 150,00 hours and come with a 6-year manufacturer's warranty.
As always Noctua is a bit expensive but I can sleep with the PC in the same room!
Of course, you can hear it a bit if you ask a lot of it, but it makes a fairly low frequency noise and there's no play noise in the bearings. For me, fans that make a whistling sound are rubbish, so I no longer bother looking for a brand and taking a risk, so I get Noctua!

A good product for the price
Like all Noctua fans, a very quiet fan. Unlike most Noctua's unsightly brown fans, this grey fan is very plain. To tell the truth, it seems to me to be a bit weak in breath for its price, but it is not the temperature bottleneck in my tower. Suitable for a case fan, but I would take an option with a bit more power to cool a radiator.

Powerful, quiet and inexpensive
I was looking for efficient and quiet fans and was hesitating between the Noctua nf-p12 redux 1300 PWM and the Bequiet silent wings 3 PWM so I compared them.
The difference is that the noctua has a bigger airflow while the bequiet has a better static pressure. The difference is so small that it doesn't make much difference in temperature. The tests say that the noctua is the most efficient but I got the opposite result, 2-3° difference between the 2 fans.
The difference is more in the sound. At the same speed, the bequiet is quieter. The noctua starts to make noise around 900 rpm, 1100 for the bequiet. At full speed, the noctua makes more noise than the bequiet, even though it turns less quickly. Indeed, the latter has a motor that resonates, at least in my case. Both fans have no noise in any position, the difference in sound is in the motor. The noctua makes a low humming sound while the bequiet sounds like a Ferrari with a smaller amplitude. Besides this difference the noctua will tend to resonate at certain rpm's like 900 and 1300 rpm, which makes the hum more intense. The bequiet does not reason and therefore the intensity of the engine noise increases with the speed of rotation.
Both fans are excellent in performance and silence. The noctua is more interesting for its price, but if you are especially looking for silence, the bequiet is more for you.
