    Not so impressive

    Frankly, not crazy, I clearly expected better for Focal and for the price. I had previously a Plantronics BackBeat Pro, in the same range of headphones and close in terms of price. I was very happy with it, but after a few years of use, I had to change it. I wanted to buy the same one again, but Plantronics being gone, it was difficult to find BackBeat Pro (even Pro 2). I saw some good reviews on this Focal, and I said to myself "well, why not". In the end, it's a little bit hard on the ears, the ring is not very comfortable, and the sound... well I'm really disappointed. The quality is not there (not as much as on the BackBeat Pro anyway), the sounds are heard from far away, the bass is not heavy enough, so it impacts the spatialization. So for a short listening session, for mp3 or a phone call, it's ok, but for the rest, there are obviously better headphones.

    The Listen Wireless is a great headset!

    The Listen Wireless is a Circum Aural headset (it encompasses your ears). The sound is superb. Priced at £250 when first released, the price has come down over time (bought £130) but it is still clearly in the running, making it certainly the best value headphones around at the moment! The foam provides great isolation from outside noise without the need for active isolation (noise reducers) which can be annoying for some. When the bluetooth is activated, the headphones activate an amplifier which significantly improves the sound. It is therefore preferable to use it in bluetooth (this detail is too rarely mentioned). I recommend it to all if you want an affordable bluetooth headset, with a balanced sound, a good autonomy, aesthetic and honest. If you have a Focal headset, you don't need to go to Bose or Sennheiser who won't offer you anything more in terms of sound in this price range, nor Beats who will spend a fortune in marketing to sell you their headset. We have here everything a music lover could ask for, and at the right price. It's worth noting that there are no differences between the classic headphones and the blue, green and purple ones, except for the aesthetics, which are good.
