This printer does automatic duplexing. The scanner only copies one-sided, but it does it well. Scans can be sent to any computer on the network. All this is perfect.
However, when it comes to software, you have "Brother iprint & scan", "Brother Utilities", "Control Center", "Status Monitor", plus a web browser interface over the network...
It's still a big mess. But why do they do that ? One would be enough ...
I've been using this printer for a while now and it's great,
The brother suite is great, I really like the multiple scan feature when creating multiple pdf's, the power consumption is low too, so that's a plus
Very good monochrome printer, complete, with features worthy of a business, for family use.
The delivery was impeccable, very fast, more than the debit of the payment than my bank account !!! What more can I say... The quality of customer relations at LDLC is exemplary!
I am very happy with the delivery and reception, the format and the use of the product.
The only downside is that the product is not very suitable for A5 printing: the sheet tray accepts A5 sheets but in this case you have to take it out completely to put them in and, above all, once printed, the sheets are difficult to recover and sometimes damaged.
A question: what is the purpose and how to use the central flap where an envelope is represented?
Good product. Wifi configuration; works well under linux, network scan ok via xsane, print ok, copy ok. It is not able to scan to the network on its own; the scan must be done by the PC (typically no "scan to mail server" function, which allows you to scan and send an email directly from the device without needing a PC). So you can scan over a network, but only via a computer. It's a pity because the whole network configuration is there.
Fast and good quality printing.
Scanner not bad.
Good WiFi.
I'm not giving it a top rating because it didn't seem to work perfectly straight away. The messages are not always clear to me. I had to fiddle a bit with the menus before I could scan. The printer crashed at least once that I can remember (that was today, a small restart and everything was fine).
On Mac fast setup - super fast printing compared to my big brand laser. I print a lot of prescriptions a day.
Good printer, very quiet.
I have not tested scanning and have not used the fax machine.
The driver under Linux (manjaro) is very light.
I have to say that I find it regrettable from an ecological point of view that I received the printer and cartridge in two deliveries one day apart,
Hello,
Domestic use but demanding! I scan, print, copy... Without noise, without waiting, not the slightest bug after a "fine" installation under Linux Mint. It does the job and doesn't bother me... Whatelse ?
