Silent... up to a point
Usually very satisfied with Noctua products, this model is particularly unsatisfactory. At rotation speeds > 40% of the maximum speed, a vibration generating an extremely unpleasant noise can be heard. To be avoided.
With its incredible level of static pressure and FocusedFlow chassis, the NF-F12 chromax is the ideal companion for fans and other radiators. The NF-F12 chromax.black.swap retains the cooling performance and silence levels of the famous NF-F12 while offering a colour palette combining the 100% black look of the fan with red, white, blue, green, yellow or black anti-vibration silentblocks. This makes it easy to coordinate the fan with the rest of the components in your configuration... For even greater customisation, a wide choice of silentblocs, anti-vibration clips and coloured cables is also available as an option. With a premium SSO2 bearing, an MTTF of over 150,000 hours and a 6-year manufacturer's warranty, the NF-F12 PWM chromax.black.swap is the ideal choice for users who value impeccable aesthetics as much as uncompromising quality and performance.
The NF-F12 PWM chromax.black.swap comes with 4 NA-AVP1 anti-vibration silencers in black, white, red, green, blue or yellow. By combining different colours with black, or by choosing to leave one side of the fan without silentblocs, the fan can immediately blend aesthetically with most popular colour themes.
Specifically designed for the new Focused Flow frame and to work in osmosis with the eleven fixed blades of the stator, the NF-F12's Heptaperf turbine is equipped with seven blades and, thanks to cutting-edge optimisation, offers a perfect balance between power and silence.
Specially designed for applications requiring high pressure (such as radiators or fans), the Focused Flow fan has eleven fixed blades that reinforce, channel and direct the airflow, enabling the NF-F12 to compete with traditional fans operating at much higher speeds.
Noctua's AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frames are equipped with anti-vibration silent blocks and benefit from exclusive optimisations to push the limits of performance and silence even further: Stepped Inlet Design and Inner Surface Microstructures.
Compatible with PWM automated speed control systems, the fans in the chromax line are equipped with the latest NE-FD1 PWM integrated circuit incorporating SCD (Smooth Commutation Drive) technology. By generating less abrupt torque pulses, the SCD system eliminates the noise associated with PWM switching, ensuring quieter ventilation at reduced speeds.

I buy all my computer equipment on the net but despite a higher price than other suppliers, I trust LDLC for what is expensive or delicate because the delivery is impeccable, no cuts or tears in the packaging and good protection of the equipment.
Nothing to say about this 120mm New Generation model with its design.
Finally a colour that goes everywhere and without losing quality.
I have been using this brand for many years for my PCs with brown/chair fans but black is much better.
Anyway we still have a very good product. It is not there to make bling bling and this new colour with the silents blocks of different colours give some cheerfulness in the case
