Always with you
Compact and easy to take anywhere, Swell is an audiophile's companion, whether in any room of the house, on the weekend or on a trip. Its light weight, only 750g, and up to 10 hours of battery life make it a faithful musical companion.
My speaker has just been in use for 2 years and traces of rust are appearing on the grille even though it has never been in contact with water.
Then :
- it only speaks English
- the USB plug is of no use to the user.
- I've been using it for a while now and it's not a good idea to use it for 12v charging with a dedicated charger, it would have been much better with a standard 5v USB charger.
Apart from that, the sound is good.

Disappointed, in short... (at least for the moment; we'll have to see how it goes...)
It was a long quest to find a Bluetooth speaker that matched my criteria (power, clarity, dynamism, managing different room volumes (20-25 max... too bad if it's bigger, the audience just has to get closer).
Let us say that I remain only with the first handling of this loudspeaker of which I hoped to follow the dithyrambic opinions on its subject (I do not speak here about the opinions posted on LDLC but on various sources of the WEB). I was hoping to be gripped by a clear, articulate and powerful sound, but the sound still seems a bit muddled to me. The bass remains very (too) present (inherent to the compression rate of the files, signals (BBC radio online captured via radio.fr, for example). The dynamic range is decent, but I find that the bass is too diffuse and drowns out the rest of the audio documents I play (interviews, podcasts...). I'm not a sound expert. I wouldn't call myself an "audiophile" or anything; the "optimized" part of the music is for my home equipment. But for daily use of this model, I stretch my back every time fearing for the definition of the sound, of the sound coverage of the room. Honest set that said, but disappointed by the final rendering. No doubt I have to get used to the settings of a good media player. It's not that intuitive to use; you have to get used to the location of the keys and the degree of pressure on each of them. It feels solid, but the chrome additions are completely incidental, in my opinion. The black metal surface picks up fingerprints well. Maybe it's specified in the manual (which I admit I didn't take the time to read carefully, even if quickly), but the "sleep" button activates far too quickly for my taste. It remains to be seen whether this point can be remedied.

We expect better from Cabasse
I was expecting a good sound from Cabasse and I must admit I was disappointed, especially with the saturating bass. Nothing to do with other competing brands like Bose. On the other hand one expects a product made in France and oh surprise ASSEMBLED in China. It's a shame because the design is really nice and practical.

A high quality speaker.
After having been frustrated not to be able to listen to this speaker in shop, I nevertheless took the gamble to buy it without having heard it.
And there bravo CABASSE, a speaker at the top.
Good bass and highs, but above all very good mediums that let the voices express themselves well.
Nothing to envy to BOSE or other big brand.
A very good value for money, I am delighted with my purchase.
