The graphics card is pretty basic but it does the job. Quiet and quite nice as I have a transparent case
Very good card, which still struggles a bit to handle some actions in 4K (video capture/editing) that's normal, and silence is priceless.
Beautiful 4K display (but that's mostly the screen)
On the other hand, the card quickly crashed the display despite the automatic installation of the driver... black screen... randomly, I thought of an overheating, I lowered the definition, the frequency, without success, and the driver is noted up to date...
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a new driver or not, but I'm sure it's a good idea to have a new driver, and I'm sure it's a good idea to have a new driver, and I'm sure it's a good idea to have a new driver.
It's a pity that this kind of problem still exists with the automatic card installation routines. I've never had a comparable problem with Asus or MSi for example... but they don't make an equivalent card.
As far as silence is concerned, you can't get much better!
It doesn't get too hot.
It manages 4K (3840 x 2160) and it's great, but only the HDMI output is in 4K.
On my LG 43" LED 43UD79-B screen, it's just magnificent!
I've got a GF615M-P33 motherboard, which has a PCI-E ver1 slot and it works very well (PCI-E ver3 -> ver1 backwards compatibility) which is not the case with all graphics cards.
Used on Ubuntu 14.04 with Nvidia proprietary drivers
This card, in theory, has the best performance/price ratio among the current passive cards... (30W, Pasmark 2300)
Yes... but beware: my LG W3000H, which is supposed to display 2560x1600 (16/10th), does not go beyond 1280x1024 with the GT 1030 because it has no Display Port.
The reason for the DVI limitation? For some mysterious reason, it is only supported by the GT 1030 in Single Link, whereas the GT 730, GT 1050 that flank it, and all the other nVidia ranges on the market for years all offer Dual Link!
Bad luck...
I'm switching back to my old Radeon HD 5750 passive (86W, Passmark 1400) while waiting to make a decision about this little black sheep.
Haro on the unexpected DVI specification from nVidia!
I ask LDCL to add some care to the presentation sheet by highlighting the resolution limitation in DVI.
Delivery and condition impeccable.
No installation problems
Replacing a GT430 on a machine from a few years ago that was a bit
a few years ago and a bit faulty.
One less fan -> less noise
More CUDA -> more power: A blender scene calculated in 1h02 on the 430 is done in 17 mn now
But, strangely, 3D DAZ scenes are longer now ... probably a question of setting.
Delivered with a simple and efficient configuration app.
For the price, then, I don't think you can get much better than this in new.
