does not work
The device is recognized and very easy to install, BUT does not work, cannot find the sim card even though it is well inserted, which works on any other device... for the moment, I am asking for an exchange.

The device is recognized and very easy to install, BUT does not work, cannot find the sim card even though it is well inserted, which works on any other device... for the moment, I am asking for an exchange.
I use it with a cord to avoid blocking the neighbouring USB socket (the width of the key overflows on the neighbouring sockets) and for more flexibility in its position (its length exceeds a little too much of a portable PC one risks to hang it and to tear it off)
Isolated in the countryside, with the technical impossibility of having a suitable ADSL box..... I was at risk of having only satellite internet as a solution.
This key selected by LDLC works perfectly and very easily with a great interface (you can even receive SMS messages....). The hardest part for me was to open its little cover.... and to know how to insert the SIM card....
After that it's a real treat (provided the mobile network is consistent, just check the coverage of each operator on the Internet): Videos already, and tomorrow I'll try Skype. Better than with my old ADSL box...
Thank you D-LINK for this jewel. Thank you LDLC for your selection!
After inserting a 3G/4G SIM card with an unlimited package, I can connect from my Windows PC or laptop and have an Internet connection that is over 10 Mbps. This is much faster than using my FreeBox. Where a game would take 11.5 hours to download, I was able to download it with this USB stick in less than 25 minutes. That makes a big difference. And it's also a classic USB stick by adding a 32GB SD card.
I switched from 3G to 4G by plugging this D-Link DWM-222 modem overhead via a USB extension cable (I live under the transmitter).
In addition to allowing a mobile connection (provided there is a network), I use it mainly on virtualized systems. It allows me to connect to the web independently of the host system.
I regret however that it is not compatible with Linux (maybe by setting up a Wifi connection)
