Not reliable
I was very happy to have finally realised my dream and bought a shredder. As it should be, I spent the whole weekend getting rid of the old paperwork that had accumulated all over the house. I scrupulously followed the instructions and only cut paper, various documents in this case, mostly in A4 format. I even removed the staples, not for the sake of breaking the shredder that I thought was indestructible, but for the sake of the environment. I also cut some CDs and plastic cards in the hole provided for that purpose. I also greased the machine after each emptying of the tray, as stipulated in the instructions for use. I never put more than 9 sheets of paper at a time (always following the rules) and never overheated the motor. At first the machine was impeccable: fast, efficient and really quiet. Unfortunately, its loyal service lasted only one day. The next day it started to go wrong. And yet, its bin was only emptied 5 times in all! Now I can't put more than one sheet in at a time, and even then, the machine usually clogs up. I hope that this defective shredder will be replaced quickly and that another one will serve me for many years. It's a pity: I would have liked so much to be able to write positive reviews...
