Protect all your electrical devices with this 5-socket lightning protector PM5U-FR from APC against lightning strikes, power surges and voltage peaks. And with the 2 USB ports, you can simultaneously charge mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.

USB charging ports
Simultaneously charges mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.

Protection Activation Warning Light
SurgeArrest warns you if its circuitry has been damaged by large voltage fluctuations or temporary overvoltage and is therefore unable to provide 100% protection. If the damaged SurgeArrest equipment is still under warranty, APC will replace it free of charge.

Compliance with IEEE Transient Residual Voltage Values and regulatory bodies
Stringent testing by independent agencies ensures that APC surge protectors will protect your equipment and data from power surges and spikes.

Resettable circuit breaker
Easy recovery from a power surge; no need to replace a fuse.

Right-angle plug
The angle of the plug allows equipment and furniture to be placed closer to the wall than a standard power cord. Also reduces the strain on the cord.

Sound filtering to eliminate electromagnetic and radio interference
Reduces line noise that can cause data loss and keyboard errors.

Catastrophic Incident Protection
SurgeArrest components, such as fast-acting fuses and thermal fuses, provide instantaneous response to lightning strikes or wiring failures. When surge protector components are damaged due to a voltage spike or surge, excessive power cannot reach your equipment. Unlike APC's SurgeArrest products, most surge protectors continue to allow current to flow even after circuits are damaged, exposing your equipment to further dangerous surges.

    Practical and aesthetic

This lightning plug is excellent, it looks robust. The little plus is the length of the power cord (almost 2m). I also like the two USB ports which are very practical.

    very practical

I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good idea to keep it in a safe place for a long time.
I've been using it for a while now and it's really good, but it's not a good idea to use it as a power strip, it's a good idea to use it as a stand.

    Seems robust

I haven't tested the protection function yet (I hope I won't have to!!) but the hardware is well made. The usb plugs are practical.
It remains to be seen whether the equipment will last over time.
