    Various sizes of 2-pin sockets

Bought to change a fan in an icy box hard drive, the end cap does not fit. Too big...

    troubleshoots well

Useful for replacing a power supply fan with a 3 pin case fan, with some adjustments. I was looking to replace the fan on my power supply which was getting old but still doing the job and was starting to make some noise, in order to have a quieter tower. I had to make a few adjustments as the nozzle didn't exactly match the one on my power supply. I had to trim the crosshairs, and reverse the yellow and black wires at the male end (3 pins) so that they match the direction of the connector on my power supply and the fan is powered correctly. They can be slid off the white plastic end cap with the pin.
After that, you have to make sure that the new fan is installed in the right direction of the airflow, and check when you start it up that it starts up, and in the right direction, and that's it.
It's a bit of a DIY job but it avoids changing the power supply when it's still working and worth it. I used a be quiet! Pure Wings 2 fan.
Note: removing a power supply stops the warranty. You should only do this for a power supply that is no longer under warranty, otherwise you might as well take advantage of the warranty ;)

    Adapter ok

I've been using it for a while now and it's not too bad... I've been using it for a while and it's not too bad.
No problems of solidity for the moment (3 months that I have it).
