I bought this strip to duplicate the memory of my 11 year old PC. It was recognised immediately and worked without a hitch!
The goal was to upgrade my pc to 8GB (before 4GB operation)
Motherboard of my pc: Intel DH55PJ, test of the bars, starting of the pc, perfect well recognized the 8Gb in the bios, but error message at the starting of Windows.
- Kernel Security Check Failure.
Separate test, also well recognised, but Windows rebooted in a loop.
So, test the chipset on the father pc, Intel DH61CR motherboard (4Gb original), well recognized in the bios, Windows startup nickel.
So, I swapped the 4GB strip from my father's PC with a 2GB strip from before the operation on my PC, and installed the 6GB on my PC, which was well recognised in the bios and booted up Windows in the process, phew...
So to sum up, my pc goes from 4GB to 6GB and my father's from 4GB to 8GB
Fortunately not lost for everyone.
PS: Thanks LDLC, for the little bonus: screwdriver with removable tip.
Perfectly operational and fast, the price was quite affordable.
The performance of my old PC on Windows 7 is now fully up to standard.
Bought it to upgrade my PC, great results (from 4 to 8GB of RAM)
Easy to install and works automatically without any manipulation.
I recommend for those who need ram with these features
In 2013, I ordered 2 memory sticks of 2 GB each. To upgrade to Win10 64 bits, I added this single 4 GB strip in 2020. The 8GB set works perfectly with 2 manufacturing dates 7 years apart. Thanks Corsair and LDLC,
Note that the 2013 RAMs have worked perfectly for 7 years.
