Probably one of the best headphones I've had in terms of sound quality. I bought these headphones 1 year ago and I can honestly recommend them. I haven't had any problems with them so far and yet I use them every day, even when I'm on the move, whether in France or abroad.
After testing with other people I can say that the sound is louder on the left (the side with the adjustment knobs and the microphone), something I noticed on the three headsets I received. It's a little less noticeable when the volume limiter is on, but I still find the difference audible, though it's not loud enough to be able to fix the problem with the Windows left/right balance settings.
Also, the headphone sound itself is not adjustable, the sound management wheel only changes the general sound of the PC.
Otherwise the sound is clear and there's no latency.
I'm waiting for my 3? replacement headphones, because Audeze doesn't seem to care about manufacturing quality (supposedly a top-of-the-range hifi brand costing several thousand euros). You only have to look at the audeze section on reddit to understand that 3 out of 5 headphones end up with a problem with the left membrane, which simply loses sound.
It's a real shame because the sound of the headphones is just amazing!
The sound of the headphones is very pleasant in itself, but there are a lot of negative points that make me regret this purchase:
- The SideTone function, which allows you to hear your voice live, is disastrous. There's a permanent crackling sound which, according to Audeze support, is linked to the way the headphones have been designed.
- The software does NOT adjust the microphone and is generally useless.
- A few months after purchase, one of the membranes died
It's a shame because the base is good, Dolby Atmos is really bluffing and Audeze support is reactive, but I would have preferred not to have to contact them for problems like this

I've been testing the headphones for 3 or 4 recharges now, and on the whole they've lived up to their price.
Sound-wise, there's no problem - you can hear everything clearly without having to turn the headphones up to 100%, it's clear and there are no saturation peaks.
In terms of microphones, I had problems with robotic voices and distortion, which I was able to record during the stream.
As far as audeze support is concerned, there's no real miracle solution, you have to test a lot of things.
I plugged the USB-C dongle with the extension cable supplied into a USB 3.0 port and I've had no more problems, probably a problem with the transfer rate or the power supply when using USB-C.
As far as the headband is concerned, you can still feel the weight of the headphones, but on the other hand they fit snugly around your muggle ears.
A word of warning for spectacle wearers: the headphones press down quite hard at first, and the tips of the temples may feel a little sore.
A very good helmet, which is also comfortable.
A lot of people say it's heavy but I think the weight distribution has been well thought out.
The only downside is that the interface for managing the headphones' audio is a bit dated and sometimes buggy.

* Fantastic sound quality. Bass is very clean and balanced. I can hear sounds I didn't notice before.
* Microphones sound very good to me in Audacity recordings, both the boom mic and built-in. In zoom conversations I was also confirmed to sound good.
* Wireless range covers my whole apartment. It is great to listen to podcasts while doing the home chores. In the office I was able to walk pretty far from my room and still didn't lose connection.
* Superb battery life, actually close to specs. I do try to turn off the headset while not using it. But I forget when was the last time I recharged it. Probably a week or two ago. You will not have to worry about it.
* Build quality is great. Its built like a tank. No defects on my unit.
* Although it is heavier then some other headphones, I personally do not feel the weight. Absolutely no problem using the headphone for long sessions. The headband distributes the weight well and feels comfy for me.
* The sidetone feature has a very slight background hiss, but its usable and not distracting. It could be fixed by future firmware updates as Audeze is aware of it.
* When the sound starts playing after a period of no sound, then I often can't hear the first second or so. Probably it is due to power saving. I have gotten used to it, but it is usual. Not a dealbreaker to me, but I wish this didn't happen. No problem once the sound stream starts playing, eg. music, movie or game is on.
Although the profuct availability was low during the initial release and I got my unit in 3 months, LDLC was very kind and proactive to inform me of any status updates.
Would buy again!
I ordered the product and received it one month later as it was not in stock at the time as communicated to me. In fact I received it 1 week earlier than the expected time so really nice
On to the product. If you done your research you should know it is the new golden standard. A very value for money purchase despite its price. Of course your needs and expectations will affect how happy you are with it.
It has amazing sound especially on immersive setting. The lack of noise cancelling is hardly noticeable as the ear caps are thick and massive but it is there. Don't expect zero outside noise.
The mike is bonkers and the reason I choose this headset as I have lots of team meetings for work and discord calls for games. My environment with 2 kids is quite noisy but with Maxwell not only is my voice crystal clear but whoever I am speaking with hears nothing from the background. That is of course with the plug in mike. Without the quality of your voice falls and the background noise increases and when the two ear caps come close because you took the headset of you can hear a feedback sound.
Comfort. The headset is heavy... Like even a few grams more and it would have been unbearable. I knew that coming in. Still it does a good job distributing the weight and I have wear them for prolonged times without getting a headache. It does give a very bad hair day thought. My biggest issue is how warm they can get. Summer in my country is hot like 40+ Celsius hot with 30 being the norm for half the year. The ear get sweaty real fast. Another thing to consider is the bulk as it makes transporting them and storing them much harder so they make a better desktop/House headset. Lastly the battery is crazy good
The instructions that comes with the box is a joke but there is online support and it's very intuitive so no complains on the buttons and what they do .
Only the sidetone is lacking. It does the job but it's not great. Overall best for the money category.
