        High performance

Bought for an X870 Aorus Elite Wifi 7, coupled with 32go RAM G.skill cl30 my pc turns on in less than 30 seconds without any fast boot activated.
Unfortunately 1TB seems just right, I'm considering another maybe 2TB or more.

        A Samsung SSD, top!

I've only used Samsung SSDs since their 840 series. I've used 840s, 860s, 870s, 960s and now 990s. They have always been top-notch, reliable and are controlled via Samsung MAGICIAN. It's a real plus to have just one brand to be able to centralise everything. What's more, Samsung allows you to manage over-provisioning to increase the already excellent lifespan, as well as Clone functions to migrate your old system to your new drive.
So I've got this drive as a system drive, and it's fine.

        Excellent m.2 ssd

I've had Samsung ssd's for seven years now and I'm not disappointed.
Performant, durable. Disk management software (not always top notch, but does the job).

Samsung SSD 990 PRO M.2 PCIe NVMe 1Tb

Tested as an external boot drive on a 2017 iMac 21.5 4K Retina (equipped only with a 1TB internal, mechanical, 5400 rpm HDD) that had become practically impractical due to its slowness (very long boot-up time and very slow opening of applications).
The external drive used is an INOVu BM2-NVMe-SATA enclosure (LDLC) with a 10Gb/s USB-C connection, fitted with a Samsung 990 Pro M.2 PCIe NVMe 1TB SSD.
It is connected to one of the iMac's Thunderbolt 3 ports via a USB-C cable.
After formatting the SSD, cloning the internal HDD drive onto the SSD, and using the SSD as the boot drive, the machine rebooted with excellent performance and was pleasantly usable again.
Boot time fell to around 40 seconds instead of 4 minutes, and read and write performance increased by a factor of around 20. (See attached tests).
The machine is stable and the SSD doesn't overheat abnormally.
The only regret is that the Samsung MAGICIAN application, which enables firmware updates and other adjustments to be made to SSDs, cannot be used in this configuration and therefore cannot find the Samsung 990 Pro SSD on the external drive.
Samsung points out that Magician does not work with SSDs connected via the SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) control interface.
Also tested with a Thunderbolt 3 certified enclosure, read and write performance increased by around 50 times. (See attached test).
In short, an excellent SSD, fast in writing and reading, reliable and high-performance.
        I highly recommend it.

        I reorder

For me, the benchmark in terms of reliability and performance. I'd recommend it, and the price is right for its performance.

At the top of the SSD market.

        Excellent

I'm used to the 970EVO on my old system, and I'm not disappointed by these. Performance is spot on, and I'm about 2.5 times faster.

        Super fast

One of the fastest, and does not heat up on my MSI PRO Z690-A motherboard, with an i5 13600K.
2x faster than my old SSD 970 PRO
