I bought a Synology router in November and received it on time and in very clean packaging from LDLC.
I've been using it for a while now, but it's a great product and I'm very happy with the way it works.
The interface of the product is as on NAS, very nice finish with indicators and visual information of quality as on NAS.

I have no complaints about it. However, my router breaks down, so I'm out of luck. The first contact with LDLC support is also very professional, the tests on the hardware and the diagnosis also no worries on it.
However, the problem I am currently experiencing is that LDLC has sent my product back to SYNOLOGY for repair or exchange and it's been a month that I find myself without a router which had become the main network organ to ensure my IP cameras, the routes of my NAS (Synology also) .... In short I am in the dark and I still have no additional information today, so I do not know if it will take another 5 days or 1 month.
In the end I chose LDLC to have a real support compared to competitors of LDLC worrying about the speed of treatment and exchange of defective products, except that I note that this is not the case unfortunately (others offer replacement as new and then deals directly with the supplier not to impact the customer and without extra).
For my new PC GAMER, I would probably go through another provider.

The router is expensive but the performance is excellent and the interface is very well thought out. For the moment no 2.5G equipment.
Great product. Excellent speeds in both wired and wireless. I'm not sure how to set up the router, but the manual is more of a brief description of the options than a real configuration manual. But the tutorials on the internet for previous models make it easy to use this router as the main router and only use the box as a modem. Synology's support is excellent for performance problems encountered and resolved in less than a week (special configuration not specified in the manual), so don't hesitate to ask them. The Threat Prevention features are complete and the attacks are well detected (tests with Nessus apéro ex, but also real hacking attempts from outside are frequent and blocked). I am used to the brand on the NAS part, I also recommend this router on the network part.
This is the latest from Synology, a technical marvel. Do not hesitate, it is the best router that exists with wifi 6, only one drawback, the price, because it stings, but in the end we have for our money .....
Very good product, efficient and successful. As always, the quality of Synology's work is present in this router. The ergonomics and the completeness of the HMI is good and for the pocesseurs of the nas of the mark, no disorientation is to undergo. The RT6600 has replaced a Netgear AX80 with brio.

Synology is known for its product reliability and after-sales service, which is why this brand is so popular with SMEs.
I was able to test the after-sales service which answered me in less than two hours whereas it is two days for the after-sales service of ASUS. I'm not sure how long it will take to get a response to my query, but Synology says that the service is slower when you stay with the EU service (in fact, I can't access the interface with my VPN activated).
Just by looking at the box you can see where Synology puts its money. It's a standard brown box with no pictures or description just the words Synology and Router. Less money in the box means more money to put into the product and that's a good thing.
I've only had it since midday so I can't speak about the reliability, I'll see with use.
I'm just noting that I've had fibre since Tuesday and my Livebox was already defective.
The features of this router are huge. It already has a choice of two modes, router or access point.
Then, the interface is the famous Synology Router Manager (SRM) here in version 1.3. It is an operating system with a real graphic interface with icons on the desktop and a taskbar.
The first icon is the Network Centre.
The second is WI-FI Connect to set up WIFI.
The third is Safe Access for security tools.
Next is the Control Panel to set up the router.
There is also the Package Center to add new tools.
Finally SRM Help which speaks for itself.
At the top left you have a button that displays additional tools that you can add to the desktop.
This is the first time I've seen a router with so many features.
Updates are frequent.
The Livebox 5 delivers 200 Mb/s maximum in WIFI 5.
With the Synology RT6600ax in WIFI 6, I can reach 470 Mb/s, although the signal strength is equivalent to that in WIFI 5, i.e. 55?%.
Great router, easy to install and configure.
The only downside is that it is not possible to retrieve the configuration file from a SYNOLOGY 1900 and install it on the 6600.
I am completely satisfied with my purchase.
I have postponed my router purchase to wait for this model to come out.
In my opinion, it is the best possible choice for the discerning user.
SRM is, in my opinion, still the most configurable system in existence while remaining relatively simple compared to its performance. There are other models that are very efficient and much simpler to configure (Deco X60 for example) but which do not meet the level of requirement that this Synology model provides.

I have had a RT2600ac router for many years and was happy with it but had a problem with WiFi coverage.
This new router equipped with 6 antennas, which cannot be removed, has enabled me to get full coverage despite thick walls.
The only problem was that the weather station could not connect to the 2.4 GHz band. Strange ...
No problem to switch from one to the other using the same SSID and password.
I haven't explored the possibility of VLANs yet because I'll have to rethink the architecture of my network, but why not for the cameras or something else.
The SRM 1.3 is a bit disconcerting compared to the 1.2 because some menus are not in the same place anymore but you get used to it.
For now, good buy
