After having bought 2 times on this very site a good Zalman with no less than 4 USB ports available, external power supply AND dedicated USB connection (which made a nice USB HUB) I had a hard time finding a similar one for my DELL 17". Quite simply, they don't make them any more, it's a maximum of 2 ports, 1 of which is taken up by the USB power cable... The icing on the cake is that instead of putting these ports at the back, which allows access from an equal distance if the USB port dedicated to power is on the left or right of the laptop. Well no, on this model the 2 ports are on the left and my port is on the right, so the cable is too short to go all the way round, fortunately I'm using an external keyboard, otherwise I'd have had the wire under my hands. As I probably said in the very first comment, I can't understand (having tried them AND returned others on a third party site) how they can claim that it's good for a 17", when it protrudes on all sides: I had to lower the front spacers to the maximum so that it cooled the back of the cover, where I felt it was heating up. Otherwise, like the others, it cools well (I can see it in the temperatures indicated by HDD Sentinel Pro (it was mainly the SSD that was getting hot), but it's a bit noisy. We'll have to see how long it lasts, but if I'm still going to have this PC (maybe I'll try the Windows 11 adventure next year) I'm going to get a 19-inch to make sure the fans cover the entire surface of the laptop's base (which, as a reminder, has ONLY 17 inches).
I was very unpleasantly surprised as soon as I plugged it in. Even at low power levels, the noise is loud and annoying when watching something with the laptop's speakers and for the people around me. This should have been stated more explicitly in the product description, I certainly wouldn't have made this purchase in that case. Clearly disappointing from LDLC...

I needed a stand to raise my laptop with a built-in fan in case it got hot.
After 2 weeks of use this product meets my needs. However, I noticed that the fan makes a bit of noise, so I only put it on when my laptop is making a lot of noise (fan on full blast when I'm playing for example).
I recommend this product.
The product is very stable, fits my 15.6" laptop perfectly. I've been using it for a while now, but it's not as good as my old one, which had the same airflow and wasn't as noisy, and it's not as expensive.
Nice product, very practical with the different tilting possibilities and the locking of the PC with the legs at the front.
The ventilation makes a slight noise but is discreet and the cooling is efficient. I recommend it!
I have a 15" and this fan fits perfectly. You can adjust the power and therefore the noise (you can hear a noise at maximum speed). The 2 USB sockets are really handy, it allows you to plug an extra key into the computer.

The device sends a lot of air to cool the PC (you can feel it) but I find it too limited for a 17", especially since the fans do not reach the air inlets at the top of the corners in an optimal way.
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a new one, but it's a good idea to have a new one, too.
Otherwise it does its job properly!
I had hesitated to buy this fan stand because I had read that it was noisy but in fact it is not that noisy. It's not quiet but it's not noisy either. At full power it just makes a slight whirring sound which I find quite soothing.
Also, I've read that it's unsuitable for 17-inch PCs. This is not true. My PC is a 17" and it only protrudes a few centimetres on each side. Also, the design is ingenious as it has retractable feet to raise the stand to allow for more ventilation and even tilt the computer to a more comfortable angle in use with flaps on the front to hold it and stabilise it. No really, I think this fan mount is really well designed.
In addition, it is equipped with 2 USB ports to replace the one on the PC it occupies. So it's as if it doesn't take up any of the PC's ports.
And to add the icing on the cake, with my old fan mount, the Advance VE-NB02, when I put my hand on the underside of my laptop, it was hot. With this fan tray, when I put my hand on the underside of my laptop, it's cool! So it is effective in cooling the PC.
So I can only recommend this product ;-)
