First of all, I'd like to point out that this is the second Eaton UPS I've bought.
The first model was the Ellipse Pro 1200 version that I always use for my PC, TV, home console, etc.
Having never had any malfunction or battery problems (for +/-5 years), it was logical that I should stick with this series.
From what I can see at the moment, the 1600 has the same qualities and faults as the 1200.
+ It protects my equipment very well in real time (equipment always in good condition despite power cuts and storms) + The number of sockets is just right for my use (look carefully for the type)
+ Durability over time (for the 1200 version, as the 1600 is too recent a purchase).
+ The inverter's EcoControl function can be useful, depending on how you use it.
- The noise of the inverter when in use, which is logical given that this series is equipped with ventilation (do not put it in a bedroom as you risk not sleeping).
- The weight. But that's quibbling (a large battery is bound to weigh a lot).
I've had it for over a month now, so I don't know if it will be any more robust over time than the previous one. For the moment, it's doing the job. The blower is a bit noisy, but that's not really a problem for me, as I unplug it when I'm not using it. On the other hand, the ringtone is not as loud as on my previous model from another brand, which is much appreciated.
The number of sockets is satisfactory for its power and allows me to protect all my equipment.
I'd recommend this product.

This is a UPS that I use for the security of my servers. It is coupled to a raspberry pi driver which is perfectly supported by NUT under Linux. Very solid inverter design. And perfect indication of charging (and hardware charging) and discharging information. It's a UPS that I recommend.
Works perfectly. The fan is a little noisy and runs continuously. It is impossible to switch it off manually.

Bought it after monthly power cuts and the last one destroyed my motherboard and 2 hard drives. Already several months of operation. Quiet product. I had a power cut and the inverter did its job, the battery took over. The advantage is that you can plug in other devices (4 sockets) to have a regulated and stable current but not backed up by the battery and you have 4 other sockets backed up by the battery. Management software to download online. I only regret not having bought it earlier. I advise you to equip yourself with an inverter to avoid premature wear of the devices and especially to protect them against power surges and sudden power cuts.
2nd inverter that I acquire, this last one fills perfectly its functions, having a NAS and a computer of a certain power to protect from a rather unreliable electric network, I am perfectly satisfied to be able to use my material in spite of numerous cuts without even feeling them.

Recently installed with the rest of my equipment (big PC with 5 HDDs + NAS 4 HDDs + 27 inch screen) in my room.
So, not the ideal place because of the noise of the fan (which covers the 6 of the PC).
I'm not worried about it working in case of electrical problems on the network but EATON should think about finding another ventilation solution...

The product itself is good. I had to have it loaded 24 hours before using it. The only downside is the delivery, the product arrived in its original packaging. I know it's more environmentally friendly, but for an inverter it's better to pack it well to avoid it getting damaged!
The battery has a long life.

The noise of the fan is not higher than that of a fixed PC. Except in case of a power cut where the noise is higher.

Product works perfectly. The software for PC is impossible to obtain via the French site, resort to the US site of EATON (Software: UPS Companion). Apart from that, very good, like my two other UPS of the same brand, always guaranteed after registration on their site; just a change of batteries for the oldest, that's all.
The only flaw is that the ventilation is noisy, like a powerful PC under medium load, not very annoying in the office or at home, but not recommended in a bedroom, for example. Hence only four stars.
Inverter tested once the battery was properly charged, the hardware did not flinch.

I bought this UPS for a small Proxmox 6 server (based on Debian 10). The configuration was not a problem. Other than that, good value for money.
I use this UPS for my two synology NAS (2disks), I also connect my switch to it and it allows me to control the shutdown of the two devices when the UPS runs out of batteries. I have 1 hour of autonomy which is more than 98% of the power cuts.
The new model (I had the old one) has a relatively noisy ventilation, a little too much to be installed in a living room.
I'm very pleased with the quality of the product.
The '5 Star' rating is justified for several reasons:
The first is for the Seller, the package arrived on time, and in perfect condition. A red 'FRAGILE' label would be a plus, as it had no other packaging than that of the supplier, fortunately the material was well packaged.
The second was for commissioning, it must be said that the priority for the UPS was the protection of a SYNOLOGY NAS. Once connected to the NAS, it was immediately detected. And I was able to test its efficiency this weekend. A bit noisy when it works, but you have to know what you want.
As I had some extra sockets and power reserve, I took the opportunity to connect my computer and a 3D printer.

It's a bit noisier than my PC in stand-by mode and very noisy in battery mode, but it's a PRO version so I don't hold it against it.

I've been using this product for a while now, but I'm not sure I'll ever be able to use it again....
For the use I have of it it is perfect!
I hesitated for a long time but I am serene now that it is in place.
It allows me to secure my big setup as well as all the small devices on my desk (laptop, printer, consoles) in addition to securing my tower and my screen.
Perfect to have time to save your photo processing before the crash.
So far the Eaton Ellipse PRO 1600 FR is working flawlessly. I was a bit annoyed at first with the software installation, but it was enough to connect the inverter to the PC with the USB cable and windows 7 did everything by itself.
The package is shipped bare (12.5kg). There is no disk.

The power rating and the AVR system of this inverter requires a fan cooling system (Line-Interactive technology and not Off-line). The noise level is 25dBA in normal mode (and about 45dBA in AVR or battery mode). This product is initially dedicated to the protection of sensitive professional equipment, not domestic applications. For these applications, we suggest that you choose the Ellipse ECO range which is totally silent.

One for the PC, monitor, printer, router, box, tel. and the other for the home cinema, amp, BD player, TV, in an area where storms and power cuts are common, it's perfect.
Very quiet (less noise than the PC tower), just a downside for the basic packaging which is almost disposable, arrived a bit damaged but the hardware intact.
The Eaton UPS Companion software works well under Windows 10 and allows, among other things, to configure the activation of the Eco-Control sockets, which is useful for switching off the screen and the printer after switching off the PC.
Immediate installation and commissioning, integration in a Mac OSX environment without any manipulation. To sum up, if like me you absolutely need electrical continuity... this is the right choice.

The device is as I expected and works well.
As some of the comments already made, it was delivered in its original packaging only, as if you had removed it on the spot. I have never seen a piece of equipment shipped like this since I started ordering here. Also no discretion.

I have already had an EATON Ellispe ECO for 3 years, which I am very happy with and which is totally silent. This one is a little less quiet, but not much less than a PC tower.
However, for the price difference, I do not regret not having taken an ECO 1600 but a PRO model.
For the delivery, it's simple, from now on I order my UPS without any other item.
Quite heavy and sturdy. Very useful display screen. The problem is that there is no DVD with the package although it is indicated! I'm not sure how to set up the automatic switch off and on, there is no explanation in the manual. For the novices, abstain.

I have had several inverters, three APCs and one MG. This one is the best I have had so far. It is very quiet unlike my previous APC, which made a constant irregular noise so I had to sequester it in another room. It does its job perfectly. It heats up a bit but nothing unmanageable. It was delivered to a shop in Paris so no problem with delivery.
I've been using the Eaton's for a while now and I'm very pleased with the quality of the product.

Bought to secure 2 rendering nodes, holds the charge perfectly for more than 10 minutes in case of a power cut with both machines fully charged (100% CPU load).
The smell of "new" very present the first days disappears quite quickly, perfectly silent.

I bought it quickly because of some problems with the electricity network and it does the job well. It doesn't make any noise, not during power cuts or tests (heard once in a month). The screen is interesting and informs us about the power, duration, in short recommended for the price.
