I needed a powerful motherboard for a high-end PC. This CM totally fulfils its role, with very powerful M2 ports and efficient heat sinks. No unnecessary RGB, just efficiency. The reinforced GPU port is also a plus, given today's GPUs. The 5gbs ethernet port is also a big plus if you have fibre optics. The ability to have two M2s in X4 (you have to disable USB 4 for the second M2 port) is also a big plus!
Easy-to-handle card, perfect for all configurations. Works perfectly with native equipment. Ports are well distributed, making installation easy.
Seems to come from the motherboard or driver compatibility problem with Windows.
Ramtest carried out, ram working fine
Cpuburn carried out no problem.
The PC locks at regular intervals, especially when idle.
Or when you go from an intensive task to not having much load.
Even just launching the taks manager sometimes causes a problem.
No flashy RGB here! This motherboard is sober and efficient.
My choice was guided by its 4 NVMe slots! Having your main drive on a PCIe gen5 4x slot makes loading times ... absent XD! A word of warning though: the description claims 2 NVMe gen 5 4x slots, but using both simultaneously will disable the USB4 ports on the back of the motherboard, which isn't exactly optimal if you're using USB4 standard peripherals... I opted for a single gen5 4x slot + 2 others in gen4 4x and it does the job!
It was equipped with a Ryzen9 9950X3D and 64G of 6000MHz CL30 DDR5 and I'm delighted with the performance of this configuration. However, be careful when choosing RAM: make sure it's EXPO-compatible (ram compatible AMD). I had to boot up once with just one strip to get to the BIOS and activate the EXPO profile before restarting with both strips recognised at the correct frequency in the BIOS.
It's a bit expensive for a motherboard, especially as it doesn't make the biggest difference to other chipsets. But it fulfils its role perfectly. Coupled with a 9800X3D and 2x32GB 6000 CL30. no worries.
A word of warning though: the motherboard needs to be powered by an additional PCIE at the very bottom. If you're using the 4xPCIE to 12V-2x6 adapter for a 5090, make sure your power supply has more than 4 PCIE connectors.
