The Canon EOS R5 is a hybrid with a next-generation 45 Megapixel Full Frame CMOS sensor that delivers incredible clarity, low noise and a wide dynamic range - the perfect partner for our advanced RF lenses.It features the DIGIC X image processor and allows burst capture at up to 20 frames per second. It also boasts an extended ISO range, with a maximum sensitivity of ISO 51200, for exceptional shots even in low light.
Whatever your preferred technique or subject, theEOS R5 lets you be as creative as never before. Press a button to shoot 12-bit RAW 8K video using the full width of the camera's sensor.The advanced autofocus system is supported by artificial intelligence, while the built-in image stabilisation works in tandem with the lens stabilisation to give you up to 8 speeds of blur protection.
Dual PIxel CMOS AF II
Ultra-fast Dual Pixel CMOS AF II autofocus technology offers 5940 selectable AF positions, covering almost the entire frame. Fast-moving subjects are always in focus, even when they're moving quickly and unpredictably, while face and eye detection is superb for shallow depth-of-field portraits.
Thecamera's autofocus is programmed using artificial intelligence learning, which Canon first developed with the EOS-1D X Mark III. This enables theEOS R5 to recognise and track a subject's face and eyes with unprecedented accuracy and precision. This tracking function is also available for dogs, cats and birds, as well as motorised vehicles.

TheEOS R5 uses a permanent Bluetooth low-power connection to maintain a continuous link with a smartphone or tablet. Simply launch theCanon Camera Connect app and the camera will establish a fast Wi-Fi connection so you can browse, check and transfer images, as well as shoot remotely.
