The Intel 13 th/14 th Gen Delid-Die-Mate from Thermal Grizzly is a tool for removing the heatsink on Intel socket LGA1700 processors. By removing the heatsink, CPUs can be cooled by "direct die", for example. Removing the heat spreader from the cooling circuit considerably optimises heat transfer from the chip to the CPU cooler. However, this operation remains at your own risk and will result in the loss of the CPU warranty.
