Monstrous
There have been quite a few improvements on this model compared to previous versions I've tested:
- The loudspeaker grille is machined directly into the chassis, rather than being cut and glued, which had the bad taste of catching on microfibre cloth.
- The chassis is a little less resistant to fingerprints and marks
- The generously sized TouchPad mouse
- The power button integrated directly into the keyboard
- The ability to manage the battery charge level (block the maximum charge from 50% to 80%)
- The ability to set the maximum power delivered to the CPU
- The disconcerting ease with which the underside of the device can be removed to add an NVME / dust (just a few TORX screws and you're done)
It's a good machine, easy to transport, and climbs up the tower VERY QUICKLY... Don't hesitate to raise the machine a little when you're using it so that it doesn't struggle too much to get fresh air... Because it's going to need it...
CAUTION:
- If by any chance you get the urge to change the thermal paste or perform an operation that requires you to remove the cooling system, Liquid Metal has been deposited on the CPU.
- If you want to do a custom installation on this machine, make a backup of your system (recovery key) BEFORE doing anything... Some drivers are not available on the Razer website and will be missing... In particular a certain "Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology"... Your only recourse (if you haven't thought ahead) is to contact Razer support... Or leave a message here in the hope that I'll reply and make the OEM image available to you (it's ~18GB anyway...)
