DELL AURORA R 13: Gamer PC or cheap hoover?
This so-called Gamer PC is equipped with a relatively powerful processor, but its cooling seems to me to be totally undersized. It is a tiny, cheap fan that looks like the one provided by INTEL.
The result is a hell of a lot of noise when the game is a bit resource intensive. The PC can even be heard in other rooms.
This is followed by a catastrophic after-sales service. Indeed, I decided to turn to the technical support of DELL. The latter tells me that this PC is normally very quiet and that there must be a problem. The support team made me carry out some tests. I return the results and DELL decides to take back the PC following the data sent. One and a half months after the return process, DELL informs me that there is no problem. I am still in awe. I still wonder if the technician who took care of the machine does not have serious hearing problems. So be it. I suggest to DELL to equip the computer with their KRYO TECH cooling (which according to me was to be equipped from the factory, that remains to be seen with LDLC). I inform them that I agree to intervene financially for this upgrade. My request is directly rejected. This means that this PC simply cannot be upgraded? Because, I doubt that it is possible to buy this AIO and do the work yourself. At least, I haven't found anything on their website that allows you to do so. The PC is now being returned to the house. An investment of 1700 euros that leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth. Because its use is very unpleasant. You have to wonder whether the computer will ever take off.
Until now, I have always bought PCs with pre-selected components. This is the first time I have bought a factory-assembled branded PC. I thought that ALIENWARE was a guarantee of quality. I would not recommend this computer.
