Overview

QHore-301W: 10GbE Wi-Fi AX SD-WAN Router

QNAP's QHora-301W supports high-speed 10GbE and Wi-Fi 6 connections, while offering a professional SD-WAN VPN to enable multi-site VPN deployment via the cloud. This makes the QHora-301W a solid foundation for building a next-generation network. The QHora-301W features two 10GbE ports for flexible LAN/WAN deployment as well as 6 AX MU-MIMO wireless WI-Fi connectivity to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. The QHora-301W also includes QNAP's QuWAN solution to simplify remote VPN connections across multiple locations.

Streaming, gaming and extended Wi-Fi

QNAP's next generation routers go beyond simple IP settings and Wi-Fi connectivity, with the QHora-301W offering an all-in-one solution by integrating amazing new technologies for remote multi-site VPN and high-speed wired and wireless connectivity.

Compared to a normal site-to-site VPN with high expenses and tedious configuration, the QHora-301W adopts QuWAN to establish an efficient and reliable IT infrastructure, which facilitates digital transformation, multi-site expansion and telecommuting.

QuRouter OS: User-friendly router management

The QHora-301W uses the OS QuRouter system, which provides an easy-to-use web-based user interface, at-a-glance dashboard and port indicators to assist in daily network management tasks. With the QuRouter OS, not only can users effectively manage all wired and wireless devices in real time, but they can also configure the firewall, VPN security and advanced QuWAN features.

Flexible Mesh VPN Topology

Deploying multiple QHora-301Ws at different sites not only enables a high-speed wired and wireless network, but also a mesh VPN topology interconnected via SD-WAN. In the home, the QHora-301W as an edge device offers enterprises Wi-Fi and VPN connectivity to the enterprise, allowing remote workers to get the best of both worlds.

The QHora-301W prioritises the stability of your mesh VPN. QuWAN includes intelligent WAN optimization to ensure stable transmissions from both 10GbE and four Gigabit ports.

Optimised hardware performance

The QHora-301W combines a 2.2GHz Qualcomm quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM, offering support for Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) transfer speeds of up to 3600Mbps. With two 10GbE ports and four Gigabit ports, the QHora-301W enables flexible LAN/WAN deployment and wireline network performance optimization.

    Satisfactory

I've been using this product for a few weeks now and I can say that it keeps its promises when it comes to WIFI performance and link aggregation on the WAN side. For DHCP configuration, it's a shame to have to go through the Vlan side. I've been using it for a while now, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use it as a VPN server or a VPN client. I'm waiting for the next update to implement all the features of this router.
