Bought in 2021, no problems so far, doesn't heat up too much and is quiet, easy to fit.
Very good advice from the shop in Levallois to configure our computer
Good communication of the information concerning the preparation of the order
Very good after sales service, very responsive online as soon as we had a problem
The performance of the 3070 chipset is there and the cooling is ok.
The price is not an issue, but compared to the rest of the RTXs and the current price, I'm getting away with it.
I'd say 8/10 for 2 reasons: 1) it's more of an entry/middle range but it does the job well. 2) I had trouble getting the graphics card to recognise me at first, I couldn't install the latest version of the nvidia driver. Solution: update windows 10 and then go to the optional updates, then windows offered me the last but one version of the driver and finally "pop" 1440p hehe.
(base of my config: b550 aorus elite ax v2/ryzen7 5800x)
I've been using it for a while now, but it's a little bit too cheap, light coil whine, very good cooling, great performance, very fast delivery, but the price is exaggerated, I paid the price of a 3080,
I'm taking off 2 stars for the price ldlc
I like :
its look, its noise (fan deactivated up to 50°C), Ray Traycing performance, very good and overall performance on all games, on a 4K 55" TV the graphics of all games are fabulous and frame rate is about 90-110 Fps (depending on the game)
I like it less:
it's complicated availability in early 2021
Conclusion:
Buy without hesitation
+ in full HD, a very powerful card
+ very quiet in a well ventilated case
+ very good cooling. 64°C max under cyberpunk
- no cable included, very simple bundle.
- the price what the hell ... way too high. Can't wait for the market to get back to normal.
(!) beware to use the card with recent games, you need a powerful processor. Mine is an i5 4670k with 16 GB of DDR3 ram is way too low... I've been using it for a while now, but it's not working well. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get the 60 fps on this game because of the CPU (bottleneck).
Also tested on an i7 4790k, still too weak.
I've been waiting for a while to write my review of this product, because it looks cheap at first glance (very light, no need for a stand for me).
I have a Ryzen 7 3700x, asus b550 gaming wifi motherboard, 2x 16GB 3200mHz.
The little + of this card: a slight factory overclock
I pushed a bit more but I still don't see a big difference except on benchmarks where you can gain up to 10% simply but is it really necessary with such a graphics card? NO
In default mode, I play games like MW or cyberpunk in the greatest comfort.
The problem now lies in the screen. Indeed, with such a graphics card, the question to ask is also related to the peripherals.
I advise you first to change the graphics card because the rendering is really amazing
I encourage you to see which screen you are going to use because, yes, it is very beautiful, yes, it is very fluid but with an old screen (60Hz for example) it will be a bit of a waste to have such a racing beast but not to be able to take full advantage of its potential, especially since the games are ONLY NOW starting to exploit the potential of Ray Tracing.
A necessary purchase in my eyes to make a pc that will last without any problems over time.
I have had the card since mid December, no problems of any kind, plugged in, full graphics driver update, perfect.
I play in 1080p on a good 144Hz monitor. In game this card brings excellent performance. Very smooth on Cyberpunk in ultra with ray tracing.
Its big drawback is the noise. According to the tests this card is average. However in games, even on old titles, the fans are running at full speed. Playing without headphones has become impossible. While with the GTX970 on old titles the card works in semi passive mode. And even in full action I could hardly hear it.
Thank you Ldlc for honouring my reservation despite the shortage!
I chose this card even though I was aiming for a 3080.
I've never been disappointed with my other Gigabyte cards so I'm doing it again and after 3 days of use no problems.
I just got out of a 2070 (classic) and never had any problems, and frankly, for single-player games on big titles, the card didn't fail me, but on a 1920x1080 screen.
I've been using a Samsung 49 screen since January, so with a 3840x1080 resolution, so I had to make some graphical concessions on my 2070 given the resolution.
Test with assassin Valhalla:
with my 2070 in optimized with strength experience i.e. high graphics option, 45 IPS on average
With the 3070 graphics options pushed to the max, 60 IPS on average.
