A unique pair of binoculars dedicated to the observation of flora or insects
The Pentax Papilio II is a unique pair of binoculars dedicated to the observation of flora or insects thanks to its focus which goes down to 50 cm. Of course, it can also be used for classical observations. In short, it is the ideal companion for your hikes and to observe flowers, insects, birds or butterflies in their natural environment without disturbing them. This compact, inverted porro prism model is characterised by its double axis with interpupillary adjustment. This pair of binoculars also features aspherical lenses for perfect sharpness even at the edges.
A perfect pair of binoculars for a wide range of applications
The multi-coating of the lenses allows better light transmission through the lenses and prevents flare and ghosting. Pentax applies several layers of coating to each surface of the lenses, the prism and the entire range of binoculars. This coating ensures better light transmission for sharper viewing.
Thanks to its incredible refractive index, the BaK4 glass prism, found in all Pentax binoculars, is highly regarded for its circular pupil exit and lack of vignetting.
The sharpness over the entire lens surface thanks to the aspherical elements used is an important element for greater viewing comfort. Thanks to its special shape, the dispersion index is reduced to a minimum.
A pair of binoculars for enthusiasts
Absolutely unique and innovative, the Papillio 's macro focus allows the user to observe objects at a distance of only 50 cm! Users are literally immersed in their surroundings and are only observers from a distance. Very popular with entomologists, and all those who love butterflies, spiders, flowers, etc...
Internal focus construction: This design is ideal for waterproof models that require a completely sealed construction. It also contributes to a maximum reduction in size and weight and improves the centre of gravity and reliability.
The comfortable eye relief that almost all Pentax binoculars have allows the user to maintain a clear and comfortable field of view. This is particularly beneficial for eyeglass wearers, and allows for long periods of observation without straining the eyes.
