Achieve your ambitions with the Hercules DJControl Input 500. Designed with Serato DJ Lite and DJUCED for learning, growing and performing, it features a sturdy metal plate for professional design and a host of features: four retractable legs for elevation, a hardware mixer for audio inputs, a Filter FX zone with numerous effects, two large touch-sensing jogwheels for scratching, 16 rubber RGB backlit pads, lighted cues for confident mixing and more.
Mix the way you want to
The Hercules DJControl Inpulse 500 features a Filter/FX area that allows you to customize your set with the effects available in Serato DJ and DJUCED. In addition, you can manually cue your songs for successful transitions. Easily manage the amplitude of the crossfader according to your music style. Use the curve switch to change the curve of the crossfader with a single touch! Mix, scratch or off
In addition, you can even add an external source through the controller'sAUX input.
The only thing I can say is that the microphone input is not great, but otherwise it works well and I use it with Virtual Dj and it works very well. For a first purchase of controller it is a small investment useful when you are a beginner with this kind of device.

Too expensive for what you get
The parcel was well received and perfectly packaged.
The first disappointment is the bundle which is non-existent! Nothing but a simple USB cable.
Then you have to go to the SERATO website to download the Dj lite version, after having first created an account (one more!) The mention "2 softwares included: Serato DJ Lite and DJUCED" in the product description is therefore false!
The software will install .net frameworks and will therefore require a reboot of the machine. In the end the software is really very basic, the interface is not pleasant and it will cost you at least 10 euros per month to have access to the "pro" version. Another subscription!
On the hardware side, the finish seems clean, but the faders look cheap, and they already have a bit of play. The layout of the elements is well thought out and offers a good ergonomics.
In the end, the console is rather well made, but the software is a mess and I feel like I was tricked! It is not recognized by NI Traktor either. The only other software that detected it immediately was Virtual DJ. ($19/month or $300 for a lifetime license).
