Overview

For more safety on the road

The Kenwood DRV-A501W in-car camera continuously records through the windscreen of your vehicle. The recorded footage can be used as digital evidence in the event of a road accident, burglary or vandalism. This efficient camera records in Quad HD (2560 x 1440p at 30fps) at 30 frames per second for excellent recording quality. It has a microSD slot, Wi-Fi connectivity and a built-in 3-axis G-Sensor accelerometer and GPS receiver.

Shoot the road in Quad HD

The DRV-A501W is equipped with a 2.7-inch display that fits perfectly with its CMOS sensor, without loss of resolution. This design allows you to use the playback function and instantly view the movie you just captured. With its intuitive graphical interface featuring large, legible text, it allows you to easily perform every operation it provides.

The DRV-A501W records Quad HD video (2560 x 1440p at 30fps), allowing you to record and replay even greater detail, including license plate numbers and traffic signs.

HDR ensures clear images in challenging environments, including backlit scenes in daylight, streetlight scenes at night, and places where light-dark contrast is particularly pronounced, such as tunnel entrances/exits.

The DRV-A501W includes a polarising filter. This reduces, for example, the reflection from the dashboard onto the windscreen that can occur in certain positions or due to weather conditions, and helps reduce glare on sunny days, enabling sharp outdoor images to be recorded.

Rugged and waterproof design

TheKenwood Dash Manager app available on the App Store and Google Play allows you to easily change the menu settings of your dash cam and browse your videos from your smartphone in an intuitive way. On your smartphone, you can check recorded video as well as live viewing in real time. By uploading the video / photo files to your smartphone, you can even view them while routing on Google Maps with GPS information such as speed, G-sensor and distance, and edit the videos to share them on social networks.

The3-axis G-Sensor accelerometer, with adjustable sensitivity, detects any external impact, and forces the device to record what just happened. In addition, the GPS receiver allows your videos to add location and speed data.

When your vehicle is parked and turned off, the smart parking mode becomes active. If your vehicle is subjected to a collision or other physical impact, your dashboard camera turns on with the built-in 3-axis G-Sensor accelerometer and automatically records 30 seconds of video. The optional CA-DR1030 wiring kit is required for permanent power.

By connecting the optional KCA-R100 rear camera (sold separately), both front and rear directions can be recorded simultaneously, both in Full HD quality.
