It replaces a GTX 970, and is slightly more powerful than the latter.
However, this card is only powered by the PCIe port, so it consumes half as much electricity as the 970.
Largely sufficient for the intended use, small gains in pure power, big savings in electricity.

A good card for competitive games.
TLDR: Good card for competitive games at 1080p and does pretty well in AAA games with low/medium detail. It is overclocked by the manufacturer to ~2Ghz on my model. Barely usable in VR, it is mandatory to lower the resolution of the headset and stay on "low".
This card does its job to play games in decent conditions in 1080p. Apex Legend, Overwatch or CSGO work well with presets in high/medium.
Also, it does well on AAA games if you don't force the detail level. Cyberpunk 2077 in native 1080p can display 30-50 fps in NC (Low preset and medium textures). I recommend choosing the dynamic resolution to reach 60 fps. Doom Eternal, 60 fps constant in medium, clear.
For VR, this is just usable if ... you stay at minimum and lower the resolution of the headset (960x1080 per eye). BoneWorks stays constantly at 90 fps, no worries on this side at the price of having shadows at minimum, MSAA 4x and textures in "half". Half-Life: Alyx also manages to display 90fps except in outdoor environments or when the situation becomes tense. H3VR and Pavlov manage to have an acceptable level of performance.
At the moment, I can't find an RTX 3060 ti or an RTX 3070. So I'm not going to complain about it.

it does the job
I bought it to replace my 2 Geforce GTX 770 in SLI, it delivers much more performance while being smaller and consuming much less power.
