Very good projector, beyond expectations. With the addition of a Fire TV or Google TV box and a speaker, it's perfect. The built-in speaker feels a bit like an old laptop speaker.
Quick turnaround between order and collection.
Product in perfect condition.
Satisfied with the purchase. I recommend it.
The LDLC experience is rather successful.
The use of the site, the choice of the product, the delivery went well.
The product meets the requirements and works perfectly.
The only downside was the delivery time which was relatively long (1 month).
The supplier did not respect his commitments. I would have liked to have had an active customer service department (which calls me back to keep me informed) in order to get the 5 stars.
The customer service has nevertheless responded to my requests.
The delivery was top notch and now I'm enjoying my movie screen! =D
As far as the equipment is concerned, I'm quite satisfied with the quality-price ratio!
The fan is a bit noisy but when I watch an action movie with the sound of the amp, I can't hear anything =P
Good entry level. Bright enough for a conference in a well-lit room; less so for watching a film in the same conditions. It is nice to finally be able to move around without a shadow on the screen.
At first glance, I had my doubts about the device's functionality. Miracast is very limited and, as much as the connection with my tablet worked without any problem, the projector did not want to play any program from the streaming platforms: there is sound without image (except on OCS), not to mention that the playback of trailers via the Youtube of my tablet lagged and the image left something to be desired (despite the fiber and 0 problem with the Youtube of the proj, so it's not an Internet story). For the sound, I had read that it would be problematic and, indeed, it's a shame to have a picture of this quality (+ this price) with such a bad sound, so I coupled it with the LG SN8YG soundbar.
Given the limitations of Miracast, I bought a Chromecast: with the soundbar, it's a big slap in the face, so much so that I left a review after only 24 hours. Even when testing it on a wall with questionable grain, it feels like a small cinema. If you want a real big screen, you have to place it a bit further away than at the foot of the wall (back of the device at 1m); at the foot of the wall, it feels more like a big TV. The further back you go, the lower you have to place the projector (on the floor), otherwise the image is too high. No adjustment to do (except a wheel for the focus), just place it perpendicular to the wall, and roll.
In summary, this projector is perfect, provided it is associated with a Chromecast and a sound bar. I don't give it full marks because the device alone doesn't give you the full cinema experience, whether it's through its limited functionality, its sound capabilities or the ultra-short focal length: in my opinion, you have to spend a lot of extra money to achieve this, and not stick the projector to the wall.
NB: Expert picture mode is preferable to Cinema mode, which has that realistic fluidity that doesn't please everyone (personally, it has a way of pulling me out of the film).
I bought an overhead projector to replace a TV.
The advantages :
- compact, and light, (not bulky, less waste when packing and at the end of the product life unlike a TV).
- the short focal length which allows a large image with little distance
- LED technology (no lamp to change)
- Full HD image quality
- connectivity (Cast mirror, bluetooth, wifi, Ethernet, USB): this makes it a versatile product with all the current technologies
The - :
- unlike the lg pf1000u, there is no integrated DTT tuner
- the ergonomics of the navigation menus are not great
- the LG application panel is limited, (but still provides the essentials)
- ventilation is a bit loud in "Max" display mode
- the integrated speakers are mediocre (but they have the merit to exist)
Overall, I am really satisfied with the product, which for me easily replaces a TV with very complete functionalities and integrated connectivity.
