Like many heats up and clamps, but remains fast
Like many NVMEs, this one heats up and becomes limited in terms of throughput. While the Intel drives fall below 400MB/s, or the Crucial drives fall very quickly below 100MB/s and stay there until the drive is no longer in use, the Sandisk drive stays slightly above GO/s when it reaches its maximum temp, with a few non-disabling drops. The rise in temp is rather slow. The descent in temp is rather long, to avoid using in the fine portables if it is to solicit it. Even a heatsink does not prevent it from rising quite high in temp.
I have not tested the performance without the cache, which works like a turbo but for a limited time.
Max perf with cache: 3350MB/s read and 2640MB/s write.
I recommend this product.
