relatively dark, not ideal if you work a lot in the evening
At first I was sceptical about the Ducky brand but seeing several pro players using it I decided to go for this model.
The colour was nice, the Cherry colour was available. I had to get used to the long keyboard again as on my old ones I no longer had directional arrows.
The blue and orange colour scheme is perfect. It's sober and efficient. It's a great way to get a feel for the quality of the components used to make this keyboard. It's a well finished mecha keyboard that will last over time. The only thing I regret is that it is not backlit but that's my fault. I should have read the specifications of this one well.
But that doesn't take away from all its qualities. I recommend it with my eyes closed.
The product is well finished and very pleasant to the touch.
I use an MX cherry red at home and I am delighted with this MX cherry brown at work.
The only downside is that the markings on the F and J are not very pronounced (for those who do typing).
I haven't had a plethora of keyboards in my life but this Ducky product is a remarkable piece for me.
I originally had a Razer Blackwidow 2012 and wanted to get a more dev/typical oriented device that would also be suitable for gaming. I also wanted to move away from the 'dark' look of the Razer range and get rid of the mx-blue switches.
The Ducky One met all these expectations, the colours are beautiful, the finish is outstanding, the mx-brown switches suit me much better, it is lighter, narrower. I opted for different colour accents from the basic yellow by buying a green set: https://www.ldlc.com/fr-be/fiche/PB00244176.html The combo is superb!
I use this keyboard mainly for coding and playing FPS.
The switches are great, the feedback is instantaneous and pleasant. A bit noisy of course but in the average range of mechanical keyboards.
The touch of the keys is very pleasant and seems to be very resistant to wear.
The overall look is of a quality product, the flaps have several levels.
The keyboard comes with orange keys that you can use to replace the arrow keys, or ZSQD, escape, the two enter keys.
Note also that the enter key is an ISO key ("L" key) and not elongated like in the pictures.
The keyboard has a retro look that will give a great originality to your desktop.
I'm taking off one star because the 4 Num lock/caps lock/etc LEDs are far too bright. In a dark room they draw big circles on the ceiling! If you stand up straight and tall over your keyboard, they may distract you at night.
