I was initially excited about this SSD at a very affordable price, but I was disappointed when it became unusable a year later. I played the LDLC warranty and the after sales service sent me an equivalent model from TEXTORM. I would like to thank the LDLC team for their performance in following up my ticket but I would not recommend this product.
I have had problems with the delivery by Colissimo, LDLC listened and reshipped my order without delay. The HDD has been installed and is working.
fulfils its functions, waiting to see in time, very correct speed, and works very well for the moment
I bought this drive with a new configuration in August 2019.
It was used as a SECONDARY STORAGE drive exclusively, so not too many read/write cycles compared to the main drive.
I've been using this drive for a while now, and it's been shut down for several weeks at a time, so I'm not sure how much I've used it.
After showing several signs of weakness (slow access time), it now seems to be completely dead. It's the first time I've had such a bad experience with an SSD, I won't buy any more from LDLC!
Works great, brought my old PC back to life, good turnaround time
-----------------------------------
No longer detected after 1 1/2 years. Tried it on several Sata, on several PCs, nothing helped. It is no longer detected by the BIOS of the various PCs on which I have tried it. I've tried it on several PCs, but it's not detected by the BIOS of the various PCs I've tried it on, so its lifespan has been ridiculously short, and the LDLC warranty is ridiculously short compared to that of other brands.
In short, here I am, Gros-Jean as in front.
It came as a replacement for the hard drive on a machine that was about ten years old. The hard drive had shown some signs of weakness, but the software bugs could be fixed. As the SSD was smaller than the hard drive, the sector-to-sector transfers to get it into the 240GB capacity (instead of 500) were fatal to the hard drive, and there was nothing coherent left to transfer to the SSD, which had to get its operating system from the internet. The rest would have been lost without a backup. Since then, the old machine has been running on the SSD. The boot time is significantly less than just before the disk change. This machine is going to be reserved for surfing the internet. There, it does not go any faster than before. It is the response times of the servers that are most noticeable.
Trouble-free installation and reinstallation of Windows 8.1 with all updates
The SSD is as described, performance is good. For the price, you can't beat it.
