    Good external hard drive, but lasted 4 years, shame...

    The hard drive has been very efficient in terms of protection and performance (a simple firmware update was necessary at the very beginning, following Silicon Power's clear instructions, because the transfer performance was terrible). However, after 4 years, the hard drive has flaws: it is not detected at every plug-in, randomly starts up badly (disk clicking) and it has required several file system repairs. Today, it is no longer reliable for backup.
    Despite these problems, I was able to recover all my data. But 4 years of life is still a shame for a hard drive.
    Another drawback: the connection cable is a bit short (about 20cm), which does not simplify the arrangement of the hard drive.

    Very good value for money but there is only 3.63TB of capacity when 4TB is advertised for sale!
