Modular power supplyEvery Corsair power supply is designed by the California engineering team and assembled to exacting specifications. The Modular CX Series benefits from the careful design and testing of the renowned Enthusiast high-power power supplies. Power cables from peripheral devices are not soldered to the power supply. So you can connect only the cables you need to configure your PCI-E cards and storage devices.
Unused cables stay in the box, not in your PC case where they would add to the clutter and impede airflow. Once the power supply is installed, it should be hidden from view. The use of a thermally controlled fan makes the CX modular range quieter in standby. Its large diameter reduces noise, even when you put a lot of strain on the system. |

I ordered this power supply to replace one that was starting to fail. I decided on this model, which is good value for money. It is complete and sufficiently modular to allow me to make a nice assembly without seeing too much of the cables in the computer's CPU.
I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good one.... I'm very pleased with the quality of the power supply. Thanks ldlc
Good power supply, stable power. The whole thing is quiet and the cables are long enough for a standard medium tower.
The downside is a lack of modularity of the unit (2 pci express on 1 slot for example). My old HX 520 was much better in this respect.
If, like me, you are looking for a backup power supply because your main power supply has burnt out, or if you want to build a cheap PC, this product is perfect.
Please note that this is a semi-modular power supply (the 24-pin cables for the motherboard and 8-pin for the CPU are fixed).
The number of slots is a bit too low to be comfortable on a gamer PC (only 1*8 pins and 3*6 pins). It does the job, but it makes the cable management a bit difficult.
Otherwise, no problem to run a big config with a gtx 1080Ti, the 550W are more than enough.
As usual and against all odds, for power supplies, I trust Corsair... Once again not disappointed. Almost inaudible and does its job perfectly with a 1050 Ti. And completely useless to "pass" the 550 watts in 2018...
Installed in a completely new tower, silent and performance oriented: the semi-modularity of the cabling allows to really save space in the tower's cable passages (cooler master 550 silencio). The power supply strangely started to hum from time to time during the first days. I was about to send it back as a standard exchange, but I waited a week and the noise disappeared. It seems that a little break-in would be necessary... one star less for this point and for the lack of recommended information for the direction of assembly. For the rest does the job, now in silence.
The product is perfectly packaged and all is well in the box and the carton not damaged and the product is perfect all is well explained I recommend this product for all people who want a medium range food
Nothing to say, great power supply that fits perfectly in my corsair 270 R case.
Comes with all the necessary power cables.
Installed to power a 6700k, 1060 6GB, 16GB RAM, SSD, HDD, CG Z170, what more can be said than that this is a Corsair power supply?
As usual Corsair is delighting us with this power supply.
It is by far sufficient for my configuration, it makes absolutely no noise.

I bought this power supply for my first gaming computer, so it's the first time I'm putting a pc together. The documentation is not very extensive but for a power supply this is not a blocking point.
As far as installation is concerned, the fixings are simple (4 screws supplied) and the case provides a fairly large number of ports. The power cables of the motherboard are held by fabric sheaths which gives a fairly clean result to the assembly if not to be able to pass them in the back of the case PC because they are rather large.
