Aria 926: luxury 3-way floor-standing domestic speaker

The Aria 926 bookshelf speaker is a real little marvel. This music speaker is expressive, powerful, precise and easy to use, and its acoustic qualities will satisfy music lovers of all kinds. Aria 926 is the affordable audiophile speaker by definition. It is ideal for rooms from 20 m2 and a recommended listening distance of 3 m.

The rediscovery of linen

French flax fibre is one of the best in the world, thanks to the special climatic conditions in the Flanders, Picardy and Normandy regions. Based on this observation and the many advantages of flax, Focal has developed a new technology: the "Flax" membrane.
Flax fibre, known since ancient times, has superlative mechanical characteristics, with a very low elasticity of 1.5%, close to that of carbon fibre, and a stiffness of 60GPa, close to that of Kevlar.

The TNF tweeter

For Aria, Focal has made two major changes to its Aluminium/Magnesium tweeter. The suspension that connects the support to its dome uses a shape memory material: Poron. This reduces distortion by a factor of three between 2000 and 3000Hz, a very sensitive zone for the ear.
What's more, Focal has developed a waveguide to perfect the spatialisation of sound and improve the very low directivity of the inverted dome. Top of the range!

Tailor-made home cinema;

The Aria 900 range offers great sound stability and provides users with total sound immersion in three dimensions. The CC 900 centre channel is the centrepiece. It provides precision and coherence between the visual image and the soundstage.
The "Flax" sandwich diaphragm's contribution in terms of definition works wonders on vocals with intelligibility and relief. The waveguide on the TNF tweeter, combined with its new Poron suspension, also contributes to increased transparency of reproduction, mainly in the critical frequency band for voices between 2000 and 3000 Hz.

    A delight!

    My old Chorus 715s (JM Lb, ex Focal) were already quite satisfactory.
    These Aria 926s are just bewitching!
    I've just come out of the break-in period and am starting to turn the sound up a bit.
    The depth and finesse are absolutely delightful, nothing to complain about.
    Focal's expertise is powerful.

    One disappointing detail on receipt: the 8 fixing screws and Allen key were missing from the kit.
    But this was quickly and efficiently rectified by the LDLC team.
